Guidance Notes for Applicants

Thank you for your interest in working with the Forum. Please read these notes carefully. They are designed to help you fill in the application form as best you can.

The Person Specification

This gives a list of the essential experience, skills, abilities and understandings we require the post-holder to have. Ensure that all points are covered in your application.

Application Form

We ask that you fill in the form in black ink or type, forms are photocopied for shortlisting and copy quality is best when completed in black.

Please do not include more than two additional sides of A4 paper with your form. CVs alone will not be able to demonstrate clearly enough that you have met all the points on the person specification and therefore are ill advised.

It is always advisable to keep a copy of your form for reference.

Disclosure of criminal convictions, cautions or bind-overs - The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 provides that certain convictions shall be regarded as “spent” after specified periods of time have elapsed. You do not need to disclose convictions that are “spent” at the date you sign the application form. Please feel free to call or email to clarify any points.
